How do I fix the Forsworn conspiracy glitch?

This bug is fixed by version 1.2. 1 of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. If you use the console command setstage ms02 10 , then go commit a crime, get yourself arrested, and thrown in jail, the quest will proceed as normal.

What happens if you side with the Forsworn?

The Forsworn are the most common type of hostile NPC encountered in the Reach. It is not possible to join the Forsworn, but you can side with them through a quest series and one area will become non-hostile.

What happens if you don’t go to Cidhna mine?

No One Escapes Cidhna Mine is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The Dragonborn is locked in Cidhna Mine and at one point is given the choice to free Madanach and become a Forsworn or to kill him. As a reward, the Dragonborn can receive either the Armor of the Old Gods or the Silver-Blood Family Ring.

Should I help Madanach?

If the Dragonborn decides to kill Madanach before escaping the mine, the remaining prisoners will become hostile. Upon helping Madanach escape and choosing not to kill him at Thonar’s behest, Madanach will reward the Dragonborn with the Armor of the Old Gods.

Do I get my stuff back after Cidhna mine?

If you side with Madanach, he gives you all your non-quest items at the exit of the ruin. You will receive all your quest items after Madanach has finished his dialogue with Thonar and started fighting. Your stolen items will be returned.

Where is my gear after Cidhna mine?

Your stolen items will be returned. Once either Madanach or Thonar returns your items to you, then individuals will act as if you helped that individual, regardless of whether or not you killed him after receiving your items. If you don’t kill Madanach, you can follow him and his men after escaping Markarth.

Do I get my stuff back after forsworn conspiracy?

You will not lose any of your items fortunately, at the end of the quest the side you side with will reward you all your belongings back. So you do not have to worry about losing anything.

Can you become Thane of Markarth If you side with the Forsworn?

To become a Thane of Markarth, the Dragonborn needs to kill groups of Forsworn for the Jarl and his steward. They then must retrieve Hrolfdir’s Shield (this quest is only given when at level 20 or higher). Once this is achieved you can become Thane.

What happens if you let Madanach live?

Madanach and his followers’ bodies will not reset if you kill them after the quest. Note that you have to help them to escape for this to work. Curiously, their corpses will level with you (up to level 50) even if you killed them at level 1. This will turn them into powerful allies with Dead Thralls.
